Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi conferred on Monday with US Navy Secretary Rimond Mabus and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting here, on a set of issues of common interest in view of the military cooperation between the two countries.

Talks also covered training and exchange of expertise between the two countries' armed forces.

Commander of Egypt's Navy and top military brass attended the meeting.
