Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi has praised sacrifices made by servicemen to protect Egypt and secure its borders.

Attending an Iftar banquet with personnel of the Western Military Region, Sobhi greeted the Egyptian servicemen on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, scheduled to start on Wednesday.

He stressed that the Egyptian army is capable of foiling any attempt to destabilize the country.

Sobhy thanked chieftains of Matrouh tribes for their cooperation with the Egyptian army to maintain security on Egypt's western borders.
