Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi on Friday sent a cable to his Saudi counterpart Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdel Aziz to offer condolences over the death of King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud.
In the cable, the Egyptian army chief said that Saudi Arabia lost a prominent leader and a great man who gave a lot to his nation and advocated its causes sincerely.
Also, army Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazi sent a similar cable to his Saudi counterpart over the king's death.
