Polling stations opened Tuesday in Damanhur and Beheira, for the delayed runoff phase of the parliamentary polls.

An administrative court had annulled the results of the polls in Damanhur’s first constituency after a candidate was listed despite having a five-year prison sentence against him over attempted murder and possession of firearms charges.

Eight candidates are competing for four seats in the constituency.

The constituency comprises 268 subcommittees with a voting bloc of 551,752.
