The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) has warned against Israel's ongoing assaults on Al-Aqsa mosque.

"Such assaults will take the region into a religious war," DFLP assistant secretary general Qais Abdul Karim said in statements on Tuesday.

He further urged the Palestinian people to resist Israeli occupation as much as possible and bring the Palestinian issue at international forums.

Abdul Karim urged Arab and Islamic nations and peace-loving countries to take a firm stance against Israeli violations in the Palestinian territories.
