Resigned lawmakers from the Tunisian party Nidaa Tounes introduced Friday an official request to parliament to form a new political parliamentary bloc under the name of al Hurrah.

The new bloc will initially include 17 lawmakers till resignations of four other lawmakers are finalized on Tuesday.

Lawmaker Abdul Rauf al Sharif will chair al Hurrah bloc, and Hager al Arousy will be his deputy.
