The customs officers have foiled an attempt to smuggle 16.828 kilos of captagon (amphetamine). The airport customs director said that the officers searched the luggage of an Arab traveler at Bahrain International Airport and seized 99,457 pills.
The accused and the confiscated items had been handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, a division of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, to finalise legal measures and refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
