Egypt’s Assistant Interior Minister Salah Hegazy was named Wednesday the chief of the Arab Bureau for Security Information.
Succeeding outgoing Major General Marwan Mostafa, Hegazy was chosen during a vote in the 33rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia.
Hegazy, born in 1956, chaired Egypt’s National Security Agency starting from March 2014.
