Foreign Minister Sameh Shouki met Wednesday with Lebanese Minister of Interior Nohad Machnouk on Egyptian-Lebanese relations and the conditions in Syria.
In statements, Shoukri said that Egypt is following up the latest developments in Syria and Lebanon, expressing hope that all Lebanese parties agree to solutions ending their differences.
He added that Egypt backs the Syrian people's desire to restore stability to their country.
