Egypt backs the Palestinian request for the membership of the Afro-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), Egypt Ambassador to India Hatem Tageddin said.
Speaking at an AARDO meeting in New Delhi, the ambassador voiced Egypt's full support for the Palestinian bid, noting that the organization's approval would be supportive to the Palestinian cause.
He hailed the support shown by the member states to Egypt during its three-year chairmanship of the AARDO.
The meeting touched on the organization's activities over the past period and prospects of boosting cooperation among its member states.
