The Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the government and people of Saudi Arabia on the death of scores of people in a hospital fire in Jazan Thursday morning, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid in a statement.

At least 25 people were killed and 123 injured in the fire, Saudi civil defense agency said in a statement.

The fire first broke out on the first floor in the intensive care unit and the maternity ward of the Jazan General Hospital in Saudi Arabia's port city near Yemen’s border, the Saudi Civil Defense reported on Twitter.
