Egyptian Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy on Wednesday held a meeting with African counterparts and experts to coordinate the African stance regarding the main points that will be included in the anticipated agreement on climate imbalance.
The agreement is to be issued on Friday at the closing session of the Climate Change Conference, now in session here.
Fahmy asserted at the meeting the necessity of providing funds and transferring technology for developing countries to cope up with the consequences of climate change.
In a related development, Egypt and Italy signed on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding on ecological conservation for six years at a value of four million euros. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the conference.
