Egyptian Counselor Mohamed Abdel Moneim Barakat was elected member of the African Union Commission on International Law.
The elections were held on the sidelines of the executive council of the African Union during the 24th summit held in Addis Ababa.
This is the first time for Egypt to obtain the membership of the committee since its establishment in 2009.
