Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over the phone on Thursday the latest developments of the Palestinian issue in light of the escalating situation in Quds, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The two sides underlined the importance of ending violence and de-escalating the situation to avoid being dragged to a vicious circle that would ruin efforts to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
