Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has held extensive talks and meetings during his visit to South Sudan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said on Friday.
Shoukry returned on Thursday from Juba where he took part in celebrations marking the fourth anniversary of South Sudan's independence.
Abdel Aati said Shoukry held a number of meetings with senior South Sudanese officials, including President Salva Kiir and his counterpart.
On the sidelines of the visit, Shoukry met with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for talks on ways to boost cooperation between both countries and between Nile Basin countries.
In his meeting with his Ethiopian and Sudan counterparts, Egypt's top diplomat discussed ways to boost ties between the three countries.
Shoukry met with Kenyan Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed, Abdel Aati said.
He said Shoukry also met with a number of South Sudanese ministers including the ministers of education and water resources.
