Security bodies in Marsa Matrouh Security Directorate foiled an attempt by 49 persons to infiltrate into Libya territories via Salloum City and west Siwa Oasis district.

Matrouh Security Director Al Anani Hamouda received a notice that 49 Egyptians from various governorates and a Sudanese national were arrested while attempting to illegally sneak via borders to Libya.

The detainees were referred to Salloum military prosecution to be interrogated.
