Minister of Trade and Industry Tariq Qabil said that Egypt and France are leading a ferocious war against terrorism, calling on the international community to unify efforts to confront all forms of terrorism which knows no religion or boundaries.
In a speech to the Egyptian-French businessmen forum organized by the Institut Du Monde Arabe in Paris (the Arab World Institute) and released in a statement by the Ministry on Wednesday, the minister said that Egypt will continue its war on terrorism until its goals are achieved, pointing out that Egypt had repeatedly warned of terrorism which struck many parts of the world including the French capital.
The Minister said that Egypt is completing the third phase of the road map through holding the parliamentary elections and will work to achieve sustainable development and prosperity for its people.
According to the statement, the forum held two roundtables on the economic reforms and investments in Egypt including available investments in the Suez Canal corridor.
He praised Egyptian-French relations in the political, economic and cultural domains and the visit to Egypt in August by President Francois Hollande to attend the inauguration of the New Suez Canal at an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The forum was attended by French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs Emmanuel Macron, the Arab World Institute head Jack Lang and French Ambassador in Cairo Andre Baran.
