Egyptian Ambassador to Palestine Wael Attia on Thursday said that Egypt gives top priority to the Palestinian cause.

In its capacity as member of the United Nation Security Council in the next two years, Egypt will support the Palestinian cause, the diplomat said in a meeting with Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee.

Majdalani, for his part, said that Egypt's membership in the UNSC would significantly serve the Palestinian cause.
