The statement made it clear that prohibition from the practice of political life have been stipulated by laws since 1956, which are applicable on all people without distinction.
The statement added that the meeting was arranged upon a request from Abul Magd to Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to discuss a compensation for a citizen who asked for compensation on jail sentence or he will refer the case to international courts. The request was referred by Mahlab to the transitional justice minister to handle it and work out a final settlement.
