Bulgarian Ambassador here Roman Petrov stressed that Egypt is a country of a great civilization.

Marking Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Alphabet in Egypt will certainly boost cultural relations between Egypt and Bulgaria, the diplomat said at a ceremony held on Tuesday to mark the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Alphabet.

He considered electing former Bulgarian president Petar Stoyanov as a member of Bibliotheca Alexandrina's board of trustees a sign featuring deep cultural relations between the two countries.

A host of senior officials and diplomats attended the ceremony.
