UAE's President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan underlined that Egypt is the gate of peace and moderation in the Arab world.
He further said that the international community should participate in promoting stability in Egypt and back its economic and social march so as to restore its pioneering status in the Arab world.
These remarks came during a speech which he delivered on Monday on the occasion of the 43rd national day of UAE.
Al-Nahyan called for exerting efforts on the Arab and international levels to support legitimacy in Libya, Yemen and Somalia so as to restore stability in the there countries, according to WAM News Agency.
He also welcomed changes witnessed by Iraq, calling on the Iraqi parties to restore security to the state.
UAE's president considered also that recognition of the Swedish government and the British parliament by the Palestinian state is a right step towards achieving comprehensive, fair and permanent peace in the Middle East.
Peace can be sustained be the withdrawal of Israel from the West Bank, Golan and south Lebanon, he concluded.
