Cairo - Arab Today
The several days' joint Egyptian-Kuwait air exercise continued at Ahmed Al Jaber Airbase in Kuwait, the Egyptian Armed Forces said on Friday.
The preliminary phases of the drill involved reconnaissance sorties by the various types of aircraft, lectures with the aim to unify fighting concepts, exchange of training expertise and effective management of joint air operations, the army added in a statement.
Yarmouk 2 is deemed to be one of the most important regional air maneuvers aiming to enhance military cooperation and joint coordination between the air forces in both countries.
It also targets measuring the level of personnel readiness to carry out joint air operations and getting them posted on modern air tasks and tactics; a matter which would help stabilize security of the Arab Gulf region, the statement noted.
