Egyptian Ambassador in Beirut Mohamed Badr Eddin met on Thursday with Lebanon's general security director Major General Abbas Ibrahim and discussed means of boosting cooperation in the field of combating terrorism.
In a statement issued by the Egyptian Embassy here, the diplomat said that he agreed with the Lebanese official to promote cooperation and exchange information between the Lebanese and Egyptian security apparatuses to fight terrorism in the region.
He stressed Egypt's support for the Lebanese government's efforts to achieve security and stability in the country.
