Terror acts will make Egypt more determined to combating terrorism and extremism, Al Azhar said Thursday.
The country's top Sunni institution said in a statement that Egypt would continue its efforts to uproot terrorism.
It slammed a series of blasts that hit Egypt Thursday morning, leaving one person dead and others injured.
"Egypt is capable of eliminating terrorism and the reasons behind its spread," it added.
It offered condolences to the family of Thursday's blasts victims.
