Egypt's Mufti Shawki Allam along with Azhar's secretary general Abbas Shouman wrapped up their two-day visit to Beirut on Wednesday.
During the visit, the two officials took part in the inauguration ceremony of the newly-elected Lebanese Mufti Abdel-Latif Derian.
The Egyptian Embassy in Beirut organized a program for the visit, as the Mufti met with a host of Lebanese officials, said Egypt's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Badr Abdel-Atti.
