Egypt has exceptionally opened its border crossing with the Gaza Strip to receive Palestinian pilgrims, who are members of families of Palestinian martyrs, an official source at Rafah border crossing said on Thursday.

Buses have been provided to carry Palestinian pilgrims into Cairo international airport, where they will take a flight to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, the source added.

A total of 500 family members of Palestinian martyrs will perform pilgrimage this year at the expense of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulazizi Al Saud.
