Egyptian authorities exceptionally opened on Monday Rafah border terminal with Gaza Strip to let in Gaza pilgrims travelling for hajj this year, a source at the crossing said.
More than 800 pilgrims from the coastal enclave will cross the terminal on way to Cairo Airport where they will fly to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj rituals.
Rafah border terminal was shut down by Egyptian authorities in the wake of the terrorist attack on October 24 but from now and then it is being opened exceptionally to let in stranded people and humanitarian cases.
The North Sinai attack left over 30 security personnel dead.
