Former Egyptian defense minister and presidentialaspirant Abdul Fattah el-Sisi held a commanding lead in the TIME 100 reader poll,the Time reported.The magazine pointed out that Sisi came second in the final TIME 100 list of themost influential people of the year worldwide, outperforming Turkish PrimeMinister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russia President Vladimir Putin, and US PresidentBarack Obama.The poll showed that Erdogan, Putin, Obama came in the 21st, 28th, 60th ranksrespectively.Though the final TIME 100 list of the most influential people of the year worldwideis always ultimately chosen by the editors, TIME seeks the input of readers in anonline poll.The magazine urged its readers to take part in voting as it was still open, but notfor long. Polls will be closed on April 22, with the final winner announced April 23.
