Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa stressed on Monday that Egypt and Saudi Arabia stand in the face of terrorism and together with the other Arab countries are capable of addressing challenges besetting the Arab world.
All Arab countries are well aware that there is no other alternative than common Arab action, the minister told MENA at his residence here during his four-day official visit to the kingdom .
He called for confronting armed terrorism through the formation of a common Arab force called for by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and much welcomed by other Arab partners and facing intellectual terrorism through correcting misleading concepts on Islam.
He added that his talks in the kingdom will cover enhancing coordination to correct wrong concepts on Islam and Muslims and activate scholars' role in this regard.
Gomaa will hold on Tuesday talks with Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf Sheikh Saleh ben Abdel Aziz ben Mohamed and other ministry officials.
