Head of the Arab League's Federation for Combating Counterfeiting and Forgery Sheikha Nawal al-Hamoud al-Sabah said Egypt is capable of combating terror, stressing that security of the Gulf is linked with Egypt's security and stability.
In an interview with MENA here on Tuesday, al-Sabah, who is currently visiting Jordan to take part in a three-day conference of the Arab Authority for New and Renewable Energy, voiced belief that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will lead Egypt successfully.
Egypt is a pioneering and leading nation in the region and has the strongest Arab army and it is going to witness great economic progress, she said.
As for efforts to combat terror, she said the federation is exerting intensive efforts to fight terror which is threatening everyone. She pointed out to three conferences to be held at the end of December and in 2015 in Kuwait, Sudan and Jordan in this respect.
Asked about turning the federation into an organization to operate under the Arab League's umbrella, she said the Arab League has given them promises in this regard and this will take place eventually when some necessary procedures are finalized.
