Egypt is pursuing all appropriate channels and officials are in close contact with local authorities to ensure the safe recovery of nationals who have been kidnapped in Libya, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
On Jan 3, 13 Egyptians were kidnapped in the Libyan city of Sirte.
The Foreign Ministry strongly encourages Egyptian citizens to exercise caution and remain vigilant as terrorist and criminal activities remain a threat throughout the North African country.
