Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Monir Fakhri Abdel-Nour said Egypt does its best to lure more investments, reform economy and reach political and social stability.
In a symposium at the Egyptian embassy in Beijing on Tuesday, the minister said Egypt, as a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), provides an appropriate atmosphere for investment and fair competitiveness, and respects WTO laws.
He said that China became the biggest trade partner for Egypt as the volume of trade between the two countries hit more than 11 billion dollars in 2014.
The minister said the trade imbalance with China can be solved through increasing the volume of exports of Egyptian vegetables and fruit, in addition to encouraging Chinese tourism.
Abdel-Nour spoke of Egypt's efforts to encourage intensive labor projects and introduce new technological industries as well as small and medium enterprises.
