President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that Egypt will spare no efforts to realize a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian cause, Spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Yousef has said. 

The Palestinian cause is a top priority for Egypt, Sisi said during South Africa's envoys to the Middle East Zola Skweyiya and Aziz Pahad.

Present at the meeting was Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

President Sisi said that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the core conflict in the Middle East. 

The settlement of the Palestinian cause will contribute to limiting turmoil in the Middle East and creating a suitable environment for economic and social development and achieve security and stability in the region.

The envoys conveyed appreciation of South African President Jacob Zuma for President Sisi.

They also conveyed Sisi a letter from Zuma about the deteriorating security situation in Palestine and expanding settlements in the West Bank.

President Sisi said that Egypt is keen on developing relations with South Africa and increasing coordination on bilateral and regional levels.
