Egypt will support any president to be elected by the Lebanese people, Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Din has said.

In a press statement Wednesday after meeting head of the Kataeb Party Sami Gemayel, the ambassador said they discussed the current regional and Lebanese situations.

Egypt underlines the importance of dialogue, understanding and reconciliation in order to choose a president able to deal with the regional challenges, Badr el Din added.
