Egypt's Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar discussed on Wednesday with UAE Interior Minister Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan ways to boost security cooperation in various fields, especially in the fight against terrorism.
This came during a meeting held between the two ministers on the sidelines of the 33rd session of the Arab interior ministers' council, currently on session in Tunisia.
UAE Minister Said bin Zayed expressed his country's support for the efforts made by the Egyptian Interior Ministry to combat all forms of crimes and terror, hailing sacrifices of Egypt's policemen to achieve security and stability.
Also, he asserted the importance of fostering security cooperation and coordination between the two countries to face the current regional challenges.
For his part, Egypt's Minister Abdel Ghaffar appreciated the support offered by the UAE to the Egyptian people, pointing to the strong ties binding the two states at all levels.
He called for combating the extremism thought that incites violence and clamping down on all terror groups as Arab security bodies could protect their people from falling a prey to the religious extremism.
