Cairo - MENA
Egyptian Ambassador to France Ehab Badawy has expected a long-run fight against terrorism asserting that Egypt will win.
In an interview with the Paris-based Jeune Afrique news magazine, the diplomat said the Egyptians are determined to win as they did in 1990s.
Asked about calls made by the Muslim Brotherhood supporters to negotiate with state, Badawy said it is not possible after the group was designated as a terrorist organization.
The government urged the group to avoid blood shedding and return to normal political life, but in vain, he was cited as saying by the Foreign Ministry on Saturday.
Some foreign media try attack the Egyptian government without taking the real situation into consideration.
Cairo spares no efforts to safely overcome its severe economic crisis and continue its fight against terrorism at the same time, he said.
He said that the government faces unprecedented situations in Libya and the Gaza Strip which are new challenges for Cairo.
