Manpower Ministry's labor adviser at the Egyptian embassy representation office in Amman said on Monday a booklet was prepared for the Jordanian Labor Ministry to make sure that the Egyptian laborers in Jordan will not be subjected to searches during their daily activities.

The move was agreed upon during a meeting at the ministry on May 10.

Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan has earlier received a report from the Egyptian labor adviser in Amman talking about repeated complains by Egyptian workers that they are being searched in public streets in Jordan.

An Egyptian was arrested by one of these campaigns for having no work permit and was taken to police station. The embassy is following up efforts to get him work permit.
