EgyptAir Holding Company started an investigation into the death of a security employee this morning after he was hit by a catering vehicle on the runway.
In a statement, the company, the national flag carrier, mourned the death of the security employee.
A flight catering truck hit the employee on the runway outside the Seasonal Terminal at Cairo International Airport on Sunday morning. He died upon arrival to hospital.
The driver was detained to be referred to the prosecution for investigation.
