The cabinet denounced the campaign launched against it, stressing that the case of the former agriculture minister is now handled by the judiciary.

The case did not affect any minister except the resigned agriculture minister Salah Helal, the cabinet underlined, adding that what happened in that case shows the transparency of the government and the political leadership.

Corruption will not be covered up, the cabinet reiterated.

These remarks came during the cabinet's weekly meeting on Thursday under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.
