The Awqaf Ministry slammed on Thursday calls by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group for staging protests on Friday.

Taking part in the planned protests is a "betrayal of the religion and the homeland, the ministry said in a statement.

The calls for protests help spread chaos, the statement added.

It warned its employees that strict measures would be taken against those who will take part in or call for the protests.
