Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa underlined the important role played by the ministry in facing terrorism and extremism.

Gomaa's remark was made during his meeting Monday with President of the Evangelical Church Andrea Zaki along with his accompanying delegation to greet the minister on the occasion of Eidul-Fitr.

The two sides stressed the importance of national partnership and cooperation in building the homeland.
