Abu Qir border guards foiled an attempt by 26 persons to illegally immigrate to Italy via the Mediterranean.

The guards caught 15 Egyptians, seven Syrians, one Sudanese, 2 Eritreans and one Ethiopian while preparing to board fishing boats in Edko in Beheira.

They admitted that four people took money from them to help them immigrate to Italy.
