The Cabinet under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting Wednesday to discuss political, economic and security files.

The meeting also tackled ways of securing the Egyptian street and taking all the necessary measures to confront terrorism.

It also took up the latest preparations to open the New Suez Canal on Thursday.

The meeting also discussed the draft laws which were endorsed recently and ways to confront terrorist groups.
