The Egyptian cabinet convened on Wednesday under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to discuss a number of political and economic files and citizens' basic needs.

The meeting will review the outcome of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Saudi Arabia and Russia and the Egyptian participation in US-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington.
The cabinet will also discuss executive steps to carry out the Suez Canal Corridor project and efforts to lure foreign investments.
The availability of basic commodities in markets at affordable prices will be also debated at the meeting.
