Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab chaired a cabinet meeting which opened with a moment of silence to mourn the death of Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat, who died in a terrorist attack that targeted his motorcade in Heliopolis Monday.
During the cabinet meeting, Mahlab said that Egypt is facing a real war, adding that a number of laws will be referred to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to confront terrorism.
He also paid tribute to Barakat, saying that he was a great value and the voice of the Egyptian nation.
