Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazi inspected on Tuesday a number of under-construction training facilities meant to develop skills and the fitness of combat troops.

Hegazi had breakfast with troops of the special units and praised their readiness level and high spirit.

Combat troops are a strong pillar on which the Armed Forces depend to defend Egypt's national security, Hegazi said.

The chief of staff also listened to an explanation by chairman of the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority Emad el Alfi about construction works.
