General Mahmoud Hegazy

Egyptian Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy left Cairo on Tuesday for London, Britain, for talks with top officials there on means of boosting military and security cooperation.

Hegazy will also discuss with the British officials efforts to counter terrorism and restore security and stability in the Middle East region.

The visit comes as the two countries are seeking to enhance coordination, especially where regional files are concerned.

The British chief of staff and national security adviser had visited Egypt in the previous period also to discuss the international war against terrorism and the latest developments in the Middle East.
