Cairo - Arab Today
A popular coalition said Monday it will run in the coming parliamentary elections both on the individual and list systems in all Egyptian governorates.
The Popular Coalition to Support Egypt and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's coordinator-general Safwat Abdel Azim told MENA that the Egyptian state will need a parliamentary support in the coming stage, backing President Sisi's national achievements and preserving security and stability.
Abdel Azim said some 30 political parties and electoral lists had already joined his coalition.
The coalition is still considering solidarity requests presented by a number of parties and coalitions, including that of renowned media presenter Tawfik Okasha and the list of Counselor Tahani Al Gibali.
Egypt announced on Sunday the polls will be held on two phases in October and November. The elections will mark the end of a political roadmap announced after the June 30 revolution.
