The Supreme Constitutional Court headed by Counselor Adly Mansour mourned Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat who died of wounds he sustained in a bombing attack on his motorcade earlier on Monday.

"Egypt's judges denounce such cowardly act and assert that it will not undermine their determination to pursuing their mission," the court said in a statement.

Also, the State Lawsuits Authority mourned with deep sorrow the assassination of the top prosecutor.
