Zagazig criminal court on Tuesday sentenced eight members and supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group to life in prison.
They were found guilty of charges of storming and setting ablaze a police station, setting fire to two police vehicles and enabling the escape of prisoners in Sharqiya following the dispersal of Rabaa sit-in in 2013.
The court also sentenced 14 others to 10 years in prison over charges of inciting riots, illegally protesting, resisting authorities and possessing weapons and fireworks.
